Pictorial Journey of the Haunted Eastern Shore
Lecture, slide show and in-class discussion on sites located on the Delmarva Peninsula said to be haunted or associated with paranormal activity or tales of the dead.

Mindie Burgoyne, author of Haunted Eastern Shore: Ghostly Tales from East of the Chesapeake will gives two-hour presentation - complete with slides show of Delmarva sites associated with paranormal activity.  She shares information on approximately 20 sites - some well known such as Big Lizz or Patty Cannon, and some not so well known.  Lecture can be customized to a specific region if desired.

Burgoyne presents a photographic journey showing images of the site - some historic and some present day - while she offers narration about the site's history, the haunted story associated with it, and what people are saying today about the site or area.  This is a fascinating historical account about the haunted Eastern Shore. Burgoyne also shares her own strange experiences and unexplained events that occurred while she was researching haunted tales.

THE AUTHOR - TOUR GUIDE
Mindie Burgoyne has been researching Eastern Shore haunted sites for the last 10 years.  Her initial research was done at the Nabb Research Center, scanning thousands of pages in the Folklore Collection.  She supplemented that research with photographs, documents and newspapers obtained from every county library system on the Shore.  She also conducted over 100 interviews of living people regarding the tales linked to various sites.

Mindie has been able to attract over 6000 fans to her Haunted Eastern Shore Facebook Page. She attributes the interest in the ghost tours and the unexpected success of the book (first printing sold out in five weeks) to her ability to build up the fan base through social media. She sees the spin-off successes, like the ghost tours as a result of enthusiastic fans being able to interact with each other on a topic they’re crazy about. “Fans have been organizing their own tours to the sites mentioned in the book, and I’ve had several requests to guide ghost tours, and the first tour we did in Crisfield was so successful, we've added Dorchester, then Caroline and now we're working with Chesapeake College to cover the Upper Shore counties."

NOTE - BOOKS WILL BE FOR SALE: Copies of Haunted Eastern Shore: Ghostly Tales from East of the Chesapeake will be available for sale at the presentation prior to and after the presentation. Copies are $17.99 + MD tax = $19.06. Mindie Burgoyne will be happy to sign copies.
